Content Acquisition Relationship Manager
Job Responsibility:
•To assist Business Divisions in sourcing strategic content from existing and new suppliers in various Asian countries in line with business strategy & India and China Growth Plans and to meet market requirements, and negotiate best terms for such content supply
•To maintain strategic supplier relationships at a high level and ensure content is delivered according to agreement specifications
•Responsible for issues relating to third party content such as usage rights of data within products/ services, implementation of new pricing and commercial terms for existing and new services etc.
•Manage content budget and ensure that increase in the spend on existing content suppliers is controlled year on year
•Revise existing spend, where required, in consultation with the relevant Business Division representative.
•Coordinate roll-out of Service Level Agreements to the identified strategic content suppliers
•Ensure we get the best quality data at the best price and in a timely manner to achieve the strategic objectives of the various Business Divisions.
•Work closely with Business Division representatives, Data Source Owners, Content Specialists, Project & Product Managers and legal teams in Asia to ensure data requirements and related projects are prioritized, and relevant groups are involved to acquire strategic content in the most timely manner.
•Develop towards being a centre of excellence on all issues relating to data delivered by third party content suppliers and ensure internal compliance with data rights across the company
•Responsible to uphold company procedure and policies in the acquisition process, and make use of the required business tools to track progress and completion of all steps involved.
•Ensure that there is clarity around commercial terms of deals and that this is communicated to relevant groups internally: this is both prior and after deals are closed to set expectations right with relevant stakeholders of what can be expected and also to make sure communication internally and to clients is accurate after new deals are closed
Qualifications:
•BA level
•Minimum of 5 years in commercial/corporate and/or multi-cultural/international environment with a broader knowledge of financial markets across all asset classes.
•Strong and proven negotiation skills at a very high level
•Good commercial acumen and ideally understanding of various types of data licenses
•Self motivated and works well under pressure, enjoys delivering high value added information/data in line with company priorities and strategy and continuously improve the acquisition process
•Excellent inter-personal communication skills and ability to establish and maintain good relationships at a high level with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
