Last weekend, I also played a round of golf at arcadia bluffs, a very beautiful links style course on the coast of western Michigan. I like it better than the Pebble Beach, 'cause it is tougher to play, especially the back 9 holes, more variation and difficult setup. And more important, it felt pure golf experience here. There is no rich men's mansions, or resorts on golf course or nearby. It was so quiet on the course when no wind exists. It was not crowded. At Pebble, you can sense a smell of $$green$$. Late in the day, people will just come here and sit in the chair, have a drink, watching the sunset, no golf...
getting ready, I was in the 2nd group of the day teeing off
the club house in sunrise
they say you can buy that piece of wooded land, 80 acres, for 2.4 mil, maybe I smell a bit of $green$ now...
