were closed. No transportation, no power either. All supermarkets were emptied out! Snow removing trucks didn't owrk in those climate, the only thing you can do is speading salt over and over again. Ice desolved during the day, and frozen again at night. It's tough! There's no way to fight against mother nature entirely. Just have to find ways around it...and wait for the warmer weather.
Put some big screen TVs at the train stations, and let people see what's going on with mother nature. Staying at hotels and apartments are a lot better than stuck on the road and freeze and starve to death.
