but we are talking about China here, which is very unique (for the time being). No doubt one day, when CHina is as mature as US as a market, what you say is correct.
In the other words, in US, the key is developing better mouse trap.
In China, the key is not whether mouse trip is 5-10% better the others, but rather where and how you place your mouse trap, how much you can deploy, and the cost.
Think again, which succesful China companies have their core competance as "technology" innovation. Even in "technology" field. Think Huawei?
Or, the most interesting example of cell phone. CHinese domestic companies grapped 50% market share in share 4 years (from 0%). With 0 technology innovation, all thr. market channel dominating.
The examples go on....
