How did I pass my US driving road test? Step by step.
I have never driven any mechanical vehicle before I landed in the US.
1: Take the computer based written test.
2: My Taiwan friend Dr. Chen, rented a compact car from the air port, picked it up on Friday (weekend rate).
3: Went to the test ground and walked around and drew the aerial map, pasted the map on my apartment wall.
4: 2 Days straight practicing only those skills that will be tested. Ie. Parallel parking, hill side parking, changing lane etc. Repeat each for 100 times.
5: On Monday, drove to the test ground with Dr. Chen and passed the test with flying color. The tester asked how long did I drive before? Laughed and told him, 10 years
6: Drove the car to the airport via expressway by my self and returned the car.
One year later, I brought my first car. It is a Honda Civic shift stick and learned to drive that in one day.
