I just got confirmation from our company's employee giving program. It turns out that we can donate to American national red cross and designate that the money will be tranferred to China red cross as earthquake fund. (I am sure there will be connection between these two.) In this way, company matches 100% of my donation. I feel pretty confortable because both are reputable orgnizations. This is the original email I got. Hope it helps for those whose company have similiar policy.
Dear XXX,
I noticed you submitted your pledge on line. What I did was switch the name of the organization to the American National Red Cross. I then put in the designation "China Red Cross" and China Earthquake relief fund. I needed to use the American Red Cross info, but the funds will be sent to China. Let me know if you have questions.
