Responsibilities:
The Microsoft Business Division (MBD) in China is a dedicated Exchange product and service development group located in Beijing, China. MBD-China is an extension of Exchange core product development teams in Redmond. It provides development resources for Exchange Do-It-Yourself team in Exchange product unit, and promotes and manages Exchange core product remote development in China.
As an Software Design Engineer (SDE) Lead at MBD-China, your primary responsibilities include managing a team of dedicated developers on the Exchange Do-It-Yourself project, owning architectural designs and specifications on ITPros/Hosters/End user experience, enforcing Engineering Excellence practices and driving quality in all facets of development. In addition, you are also responsible for managing the relationship and communication with Exchange core product development in Redmond, USA.
The requirements include solid background on .Net, user interface (command line and GUI) development in Windows, web (Jscript, ASP.Net, HTML, DHTML) technologies, software design patterns; At least four years of software development and minimum two years of project management experiences with full release cycles of major software products; demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership and collaboration across different discipline groups to drive product development from conception to release; excellent communication and relationship building skills; proven ability to design a large scale system architecture with Microsoft technologies, and make sound trade-offs without compromising quality and schedule, write highly detailed and quality-driven technical specifications.
Qualifications:
The qualifications include demonstrable experience with C++/C#, .NET Frameworks, ASP.Net, AJAX, and familiarity with xml, ADO.Net and general e-mail messaging concepts and designs; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills; a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical equivalent is required, and MS/MBA degree is preferred; fluent in Chinese and English, and preferably previous work experience in China.
