<> 3/4 of Notorious (Semi OK)
A completely black movie, which I have a hard time to understand. It is about the life of a school drop-out, drug dealer turned rapper. It gives audiences a glimpse of look of inner city black kids, black family and community and the lives of pop artists.
I just think that blacks are so good at playing victims of themselves in this movie. Who aren't?
<> 3/4 of Valkyrie (Semi Bad)
High ranking German officers plotted to assassinate Hitler but failed, even so their mere existence and their plots showed the world that there were people in Germany with humanity and conscious minds. It is a good politician movie, it tells how government take over should be plotted.
Tom Cruise looks a little different in this movie.
<> 90% of Defiance (Semi Good)
A very inspiring movie to watch, about a band of Jewish brothers lead a refugee camp out of the forest during 2nd world war, fighting against Germans and harsh environments. It has many angles and tries to guide audiences to have an outsider look about the Jewish people: its culture, its brotherhood, its sentimental trait, its love between man and woman, its intellect, its misery, its salvation ... It is a very broad and mind poking movie.
<3/4 of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (OK)
It is a very strange movie : a baby, Benjamin born old and grows backward -- the older others get, the younger he gets. Through out his strange life he encounters people who comes and goes, including people who left a deep set of marks on him. As the story tries to tell audiences what those marks should be -- it really are up to the audiences to grasp and decide. I think the movie is more than anything about death, at the death bed, everything is bygone, what would capture you at that moment -- those are the marks.
The younger looking version of Benjamin (Brad Pitt) is so mesmerizing. He looks much better in action than in picture.
< 50% of Marley & Me (Very Bad)
A growing young and vibrant family including a dog named Marley cop with each other, the dog is the hardest part to deal with sometimes. And in the end after many ups and downs, the family including Marley the dog are bonded as one tight knot and are completely in love with each other . It seems the dog Marley is the main character in this movie.
