Vice President, Academic Department (need expats.)
PURPOSE (why the position exists, within what limits and with what objectives)
-To ensure that all academic activities of HIEU are carried out and developed according to the pre-set targets and standards.
-To ensure coordination on all academic related matters and resources between HIEU and Laureate’s global network.
-To assess and determine the staffing at all levels and needs of HIEU’s faculty.
-To perform general reviewing, monitoring, supervision, quality assurance and improvement duties on HIEU’s all new and existing curriculums.
-To be responsible for new curriculums’ development, introduction and transferring initiatives.
-To prepare activity reports and submit to the President on HIEU’s academic scientific research, publication and professional assessment activities.
-To carry out such duties as assigned by the President from time to time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Prof. Dr. (Meet MOE’s Higher Education Vice President’s Criteria, if applicable)
WORK EXPERIENCE: Brilliant academic track in a University environment plus meaningful management experiences in both academic and business settings.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS:
Rich academic experiences and reputation

Communication skills and capability to influence others
Negotiation skills and conflict management
People management skills

BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING:
Specific knowledge of the academic areas relevant to the Faculty.
Clear understanding of HIEU management processes and tools.
Knowledge of the market’s trends, as well as understanding of the customers’ needs (students/families) and employers’ requirements.
Knowledge of the regulations principles, as well as of internal processes and guidelines regarding the development and optimization of academic products.
