I thought that I would spend the rest of my life in this land called Canada. Though surprising to myself, the idea to join so many other returnees now seems no longer distant. Looking back, I crossed the Pacific ocean to land on this foreign soil 11 years ago without knowing much about the future ahead. Over the years, I have gone through so many ups and downs in life, laughing my heads off and crying my heart out. In the end, I have come to realize one single truth: Life is what you choose to be. You could make it a HELL or a HEAVEN depending on your heart's desire.
As my departure draws closer, I feel like writing something to unveil the myths or bias about Canada and our life here as the first generation immigrants from China as well as maintaining a log for my future reference. All the articles will be in essay form covering life, family, business, career, travel etc. Hopefully I could achieve what I am aiming for.
