Position : Financial Controller
Reports to : General Manager (Canadian)
Key Responsibilities:
• Full Balance sheet and P&L responsibility for the Joint Venture
• Implementation of accounting policies and procedures covering the full accounting cycle.
• Implementation and management of JV business system
• Supervision of all accounting staff
• Supervision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, payroll, and general accounting.
• Sign off on all account reconciliations
• Supervision of the IT function
• Liaison with Corporate accounting
• Cash management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Monthly analysis and reporting of Financial results
• Filing and timely payment of required taxes
• Tax management
• Liaison with external auditors
• Coordination of credit and collections with the sales team
• Active participation in Joint Venture strategic decisions
Requirements:
• Fluent in Chinese & English
• Qualified CPA or equivalent Chinese professional designation
• Five or more years experience in a Finance/accounting department for a manufacturing business at the Controller level.
• Full P&L and balance sheet responsibility
• Work experience with a foreign Multinational Company
• Knowledge of Chinese and US GAAP
• Knowledge of local/federal tax rules
• Cost accounting in a job costing environment.
• Experience at reducing DSO’s
• Experience dealing with all levels of management
• Must be hands on
