Title of position: Market Mapping and Segmentation Manager
Department: East China Cluster Trade and Marketing Department
Reports to: East China Cluster Marketing Manager
Location: Shanghai

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
•Map and segment market to direct strategy and selling effort based on
oUnder-served customer value
oOver-served customer value
oEmerging customer value

Specific responsibilities of the position:
1.Voice of Customer Survey
•Run regular/ad-hoc VOC survey to take pulse of customers value proposition and to validate “conventional” wisdoms.
•Act as PRE facilitator for monthly Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) conducted by centre.
•Establish and keep in touch with local customer interest groups.

2.Market Mapping
•Establish what/where is the market; and regularly validate the same.
•Map out meaningful market down to customer, commodity, trade, geographical locations.

3.Market Segmentation
•Analyze market map to identify
i.Under-served industries/customers
ii.Over-served industries/customers
iii.Emerging industries/customers
•Recommend to the rest of commercial organization corrective actions to fill the gap and see to that those are carried through.

Measurement / success criteria of the position:
•Market mapping ratio.
•New business generated through market mapping and segmentation effort.
•Profitability improvement.
•Process maturity.

Specific requirements for the position:
•Bachelor degree and above, advanced education in MBA or market related major is a plus.
•Minimum 5 years marketing experience in multi-national companies. Proven experience and achievement on market mapping and segmentation in a service industry.
•Fluent in Chinese and English communication.
•Capabilities to develop and execute marketing strategies.
•Excellent stakeholder influence skills.
•Responsible, self-motivated, resourceful and energetic.
•Have advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
