黄埔一期 and I participate in the HGHP inauguration meeting last night. 狼协 presented an ambitious vision and concrete plans on how we will make progress and achieve our goals. We met many wonderful friends. We were all inspired and touched by the passion and talent of our fellow HaiGuis. One thing is certain: we will make a difference.
Since we both happen to be in Bay Area, 黄埔一期 and I had a conversation afterwards. We all want to make friends, to share experience of life, to discuss thought of many interesting things, and to have fun together. We will get together, talk about which restaurant serve best Chinese food, talk about the concert of Simon and Garfunkle, we can go skiing, hiking, golfing. Yes, we are HaiGui or wannabe. We will contribute to the success of this organization, one way or another. After many years of education and work in the Silicon Valley, in the United States, we have gained great technological expertise and managerial skills. The rapid development in China is opening up a great opportunity for all of us. Like many people in the Bay Area, we ask ourselves what will be the next boom in the Silicon Valley? Many VC’s are going after the startups that develop technologies to provide the synergy of biotech, nanotech and IT. Isn’t that our strength? People in Haiguinet come from different industries. The rich resources and diverse background will no doubt create many successful stories. Some of us already have business in both China and US while many are working towards that. We will help each other, work together, and share the laughter and the joy.
We will have a lunch gathering at Ming’s Restaurant in Palo Alto. Please come join us if you are interested. We will meet next Wed, 11/19/2003 at 11:45 AM.
