刚刚回到北京没几天，金姆高打电话来，问包博：“这个周末有安排吗？如果没事情，咱们去爬爬山。别整天蹲在北京城内搞‘腐败’，市内空气也不好，你也该到大自然里陶冶一下情操了”。包博也正想找老高聊聊，于是就答应了。
周末，包博让司机放假休息了，星期六一大早自己开了车到亚运村的五洲酒店和老高汇合。包博刚停下车，老高开车就到了。老高看了一眼包博的车，说：“你的车太扎眼了，还是开我的车吧”。包博把车存在了五洲酒店，上了老高的奥迪A6。老高问包博：“你新招的哪个小秘呢？”
“周末休息了。” 包博边说边把椅子背往后躺倒一些，悠然自得地带上了安全带。国内的人说，凡是上车就认认真真地带好安全带的都是国外回来的，因为国外回来的怕死。
“哦，我还以为是‘全天候’秘书呢。”老高故作遗憾地说。包博装傻，不理他。
车子沿着北四环一路飞奔，一会就出了北京市区，上了八达岭高速，再从昌平转向东北。车过十三陵后，城里的污染和喧嚣渐渐被抛在了后面。空气变得新鲜了，深秋的天空变得十分晴朗高远。路边匆匆闪过的是青草、果园、白杨树，沿路的柿子树已经是果实累累了，远处山谷中有可见稀稀落落的村庄和时断时续的干河床。车里的音响在播放着拉丁巨星安里奎•；伊格莱希亚斯（Enrique Iglesias）的CD专集“Escape”中的歌曲“I Will Survive”。安里奎•；伊格莱希亚斯高抗的歌声、独特的嗓音、强烈的节奏伴着高速飞奔的车子，让车里的包博真不知道是身在美国华盛顿郊区的Virginia还是在中国的北京。
