• Defines, designs, codes, unit tests and debugs complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Works with other engineers, QA and DBA team to design and implement application features
• Performs a team leader's role in product development.
• Focus on web application projects development
Requirements:
• 2+ years work experience in software development.
• Be accomplished in Java, OOP and Design Pattern.
• Be familiar with Oracle System, web based application development.
• Have good English abilities in both speaking and writing.
• Bachelor Degree in CS or related fields. Master degree in CS or related fields is preferred.
• Be able to work under high pressure.

Job Responsibilities

• Deep experience with Database application development and Object-Relational Mapping. O-R mapping tool development a plus.
• Experience with many of the following technologies: Java application servers, J2EE, servlets, JDO, JSP, Java Beans, EJB, JMS, RMI, JDBC, HTML/ HTTP, databases, data warehousing, object-relationship theory, internet/web services, Windows, UNIX, XML, high availability computing, high-performance computing, workflow management, knowledge management, etc.
• Outstanding presentation and written skills as well as an ability to deal effectively with both technologists and business representatives. Strong presentation and leadership skills.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal Mandarin and English skills.
• MS CS preferred (PhD, a plus).

Sr. Data Warehouse Manager (China)
This is a position reporting to the Director of Information Management, within the IT department at xxx Shanghai. The Sr. Manager of DW Development will be responsible for managing a team of developers and contractors in charge of designing, developing, and implementing Data Warehouse applications in the context of an enterprise data warehouse system.
Responsibilities will include:
• Assume key overall responsibility for the successful implementation of Data integration applications within the Information Management group development center in Shanghai. Define, implement, and oversee sound, high-productivity application development practices within the Development Team
• Manage and coordinate development staff to ensure projects implementation are successful (within time and budget) given project schedules defined with the DW group in US
• Work with Shanghai Dev managers and Business Analysts to ensure software data quality is optimal
• Oversee the production handover and deployment the new applications to production.
• Participate, along with the US DW team, in definition of standards and processes, and ensure these best practices are enforced in the team
• Work with local team and third party vendors to recruit, train, monitor and coach contractors.
• Provide technical leadership in designing, coding, and implementing data integration applications
• Collaborate with the project managers and business analysts in US to define development resource requirements for new projects, software enhancements, and application quality measurement metrics
• Manage data warehouse escalations related to data quality, application errors, and production delays
• Establish performance and development objectives for software development staff in Shanghai and perform regular review of those objectives
• Report weekly on progress and deliverables against plan

Given the goals for this position, candidates must have:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Information Management or Computer Science Minimum 7 years experiences in a combination of software development, data warehouse implementation, and project management
• Minimum 2 years of people management experience for data warehouse development team of 6 to 8 developers
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse, data modeling, extraction, transformation, and batch load process
• Minimum 2 years experience in large scale Teradata deployments, involved in management and hands-on in projects.
• Prior experience managing consulting firms and contractors, including contract negotiation and performance & relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill, ability to influence technical resources and drive to a technical decision
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence tools, such as Informatica, Business Objects, ClearCase, Perl/Shell Script, and Unix Operating System.
• Aptitude for understanding business environment and translate business requirements to technical solutions
• MBA degree not mandatory but a strong plus.
