Job Description:
Global Commodity Manager (GCM):
Position is responsible for all Procurement activities related to source selection, contract/supplier management, cost analysis/negotiation, and new product development support. Position is integral in vertical integration management upward (higher level assemblies) and downward (components). The GCM requires specific strengths in project management, business case/financial analysis, and team leadership. Position interfaces with Program Managers, Development, Brand Fulfillment, Supply/Demand Planning, Procurement Engineering, and external Suppliers. Position is responsible for leading cross functional teams in the US and multiple Asia geographies in integrated assembly sourcing decisions and in managing ongoing supplier operational performance.
Essential Functions
Facilitate interactive communication between XXX Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and other XXX organizations as well as our subcontractors & supply partners.
Negotiate contracts.
Lead the Commodity Management team.
Manage the Quarterly Business Review process with the suppliers.
Identify cost reduction opportunities, determine targets and drive cost reduction processes .
Supply Chain Logistics modeling and analysis.
Lead Quarterly Price Negotiation Process.
Determine share split with partners.
Attend regularly scheduled meetings, commodity team meetings & weekly department meetings.
Develop and communicate the supply chain strategy and ensure contractual terms are being met.
Identify value-engineering opportunities.
Primary escalation path for the buyers.
Preparation and analysis of RFQ's/RFI's.
ABC Cost analysis.
Work with integration partners.

Travel 10-25% of total time.
