MAC Architecture
Criteria
· 2 engineers
· education level: Ph.D.
· networking experience:
o cellular/3G or Wi-Fi preferred
o general wireless and IP networking experience a must
· construct simulations and analyize subsequent results
o home-brew tools
o open-source freeware (ns2, nam, etc)
o specialized analysis tools (matlab, etc)
· must have hands-on implementation experience
· conduct reasonably clear technical communication (read, write, and discussion) in English and in collegial terms
· good if have had experience in remote collaboration
Responsibilities
· assist in architecture definition
o understand all relevant standards
o cast problem in context, provide practical analysis and solutions

o designing, writing, and running simulations to explore design space
o analyzing protocol performance using various constraints and parameters

Firmware
Job des cription:
The candidate will develop embedded firmware for our system-on-chip reference design. The candidate should understand hardware/firmware/software tradeoffs. Strong development, test and debug skills are required. The candidate will contribute in development and maintenance of the firmware code and be able to document and describe firmware (good written and verbal communication skills) issues.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience on developing Linux and RTOS software.
· Strong debugging skills for hardware devices.
· Strong understanding of data communication, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN.
· Fluent in C and assembly language.
· Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written.
· Knowledge of ARM microprocessor is a plus.
· Knowledge of PC or consumer device drivers, and applications programming is a plus.
· BS/ MS Computer Science/ Electronics or equivalent
Desired Experience:
· Familiar wire and wireless industry standard.
· Strong experience product implementation on WiFi, WiMax, 3G and data communication.
Host Driver
Job des cription:
The candidate will develop all of host device driver and application utility on PC and handset devices. Understand most of industry hardware device interface standard such as PCI, USB, SDIO, etc. The candidate should have strong development, test and debug skills. The candidate will contribute in development and maintenance of host&＃39;&＃39;&＃39;&＃39;s application, and be able to document and describe any (good written and verbal communication skills) issues.
Qualifications:

Software Engineer - Windows GUI
Job Des cription:
As a software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing Microsoft MFC based user interface for our WiMax product in accordance with software design specification. Create a UI that is uniquely reflecting the nature of the product. Work closely with device driver engineer to determine the interface between the application and driver. Work with QA engineer to write test plan and test cases.
Qualification:
Proficient C/C++ coding and debugging skill.
Hands-on experience in design and develop MFC based GUI using Visual Studio.
Understand Windows architecture, DLL, SDK.
Experience with OOA and OOP.
5+ years experience, BS degree (MS preferred) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience in the following is desirable:
Software installation/uninstallation using InstallShield.
Web based GUI(HTML, Javas cript)
Understand Microsoft .Net Framework.
Protocol Development
Job des cription:
The candidate will be responsible to implement protocols and network management
for broadband wireless standard. The candidate should have strong understanding, development, test and debug skills. The candidate will contribute in development and maintenance firmware source code of protocol stack and network management, and be able to document and describe any (good written and verbal communication skills) issues.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience on developing protocol stack .
· Strong debugging skills.
· Strong understanding standard protocols such as SNMP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, etc.
· Familiar to management of an embedded device.
· Fluent in C programming.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written .
· BS/ MS Computer Science/ Electronics or equivalent
Desired Experience:
· Familiar wire and wireless industry standard.
· Strong experience product implementation on WiFi, WiMax, 3G and data communication.
Security Protocol
Job Des cription
As a key member in the ApaceWave’s China software design team, your role is to design and implement mobile WiMAX security subsystem that includes mobile terminal authentication and authorization, Key management, encryption algorithm and security related handover processing. You need to draft the design specification, develop the subsystem, work closely with US engineering team to integrate it with MAC layer software and verify the security functions according to the 802.16e and WiMAX standard specification.
Qualifications
· 6+ years experience on building networking and/or security products/appliances.
· Teamwork oriented and very good interpersonal coordination skills.
· Hands-on experience with real-time OS and Linux.
· Excellent C programming and debugging skills
· Direct experience with X.509 certificates and EAP based Authentication.
· Familiar with Key Management protocol PKM, TEK key exchange procedure.
· Familiar with DES, RSA, and AES encryption/de-encryption algorithm.
· MS degree (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience in the following is highly desirable:
· MAC and network layer design and implementation of WiMAX, 3G, Wi-Fi and other wireless products.
· Good understanding of broadband wireless industry standards and handover procedure.
