Job description:
We have a position opened for a SENIOR WEB DEVELOPER for their e-Commerce Services Team. The team designs, builds, and hosts eCommerce solutions for clients on an outsource basis.
eCommerce is built with an extended set of HTML tags, dynamically driven using a Perl/mod_perl backend system, accessing a SQL database.
You MUST have strong background in SQL and Perl Applications programming experience. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, seasoned engineer, with the following skills:
Domain Knowledge:
* Real world experience with 24x7, industrial strength eCommerce websites.
* Familiarity with shopping carts, cookies, credit card processing, software licensing, and electronic software downloads (ESD), and electronic licensing is a plus.
Communication skills:
* Must articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences including software engineers, management, sales people, and clients.
* Write unit test plans based on technical specifications.
Technical skills:
* Past experiences with systems that create dynamic web pages using an environment like Perl/mod_perl, JSP, ASP, and ColdFusion or similar, accessing a SQL database on the back end is vital.
* Specific Perl experience should include: OOA/OOD leading to mod_perl implementations, focus on performance techniques, and use of common CPAN modules.
* Strong SQL skills should include: optimization techniques, use of SQL Tools such as SQL+.
* Working knowledge of XML constructs, including DTD definition and XSLT validation would be very valuable.
* Knowledge of HTML required, XHTML, CSS, and _JavaScript would be helpful.
* Working knowledge of networking technologies, including security and encryption on the Internet, and basic networking concepts.
Qualifications:
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related major, with 4+ years experience in Software Development.
* Have precise attention to detail;
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, show initiative and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment;
* Troubleshoot where required, reporting needed procedural changes;
* Can-do attitude that comes with a start-up mentality;
* Experience with Internationalization and Localization efforts, especially with multi-byte languages, would be highly valued.

Working on the eCommerce Sales & Fulfillment Pre-Approval Product Sales Team developing strategy and initiatives for pre-approving customers online (Online Banking, external sites) and through the ATM, for credit products, including credit card, home equity and mortgage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance the presentment of pre-approved/pre-qualified offers to customers
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pre-approved application process
- Work with Consumer and Small Business partners to identify and expand specific product and segment portfolio opportunities for pre-approving and pre-qualifying customers

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required. 5+ years working experience required, primarily in product development or product management. Financial services experience required, preferably in credit products such as credit card, home equity or mortgage. eCommerce/online banking and/or technology experience required. Strong skills in strategy development, data analysis, project management and business case development a must. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and aptitude in developing and delivering presentations. Experience working on and leading cross-functional teams for complex business and technology solutions a must. Vendor management experience preferred. Excellent relationship management and partnership abilities. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. High-energy individual with the ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

· Experience with Objected Oriented and/or E-Commerce systems.
· 2+ years hands-on Java 2 experience in a UNIX based environment.

· Ability to work effectively within a small team environment.

· Excellent written and verbal skills.
Additional needs that are a PLUS for the job:
· Sun Java Programmer Certification.
· Object-Oriented design and development experience.
· Configuration Management experience.
· Experience with J2EE-complient application packaging and deployment.
· Experience developing JSPs.
· Experience with ATG Dynamo Application Server 6x or higher.
· Experience with Eclipse, MKS Source Integrity, UML, and UNIX.
Education Required: BS or better in CS or related field - or - equivalent experience
