Director, Spoken English Curriculum Development And Production
*Job description:*
*Saybot is looking for a Director for the English Language Curriculum
Development And Production Department. The Director will be accountable
for driving organizational performance and business results of the team
by optimizing and growing the performance capability of the workforce.
The Director will lead and manage a team of curriculum developers to
produce lessons focused on teaching spoken English. Lessons are
delivered on a digital multimedia platform and make use of cutting-edge
speech recognition technology. The Director will be responsible for
identifying and assessing critical job competencies and performance, and
creating a work environment which enables the curriculum developers to
perform at optimal levels. The Director must have demonstrated knowledge of multiple methods of teaching English, including classroom and
technology-enabled learning.*
*The Director will collaborate with leaders of other departments of the company to ensure lessons produced fulfills business requirements, lesson production is within budget, and lesson production schedule meetsthe company's business obligations.*
*The Director's duties and responsibilities are:*
1.*Manage and develop a professional team of curriculum developers to deliver high quality spoken English learning products.*
2.*Work with Management to identify product characteristics and
features, and to realize them in products.*
3. *Work with Engineering to design lessons that fully utilize
capabilities of the technology.*
4. *Make sure curricula produced by the team is aligned with the
company's business goals.*
5. *Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of curricula by collecting and analyzing feedback from external customers.*
6. *Make sure curricula are produced within budget and on time.*
7.*Research, acquire and maintain in-house techniques and expertise in teaching spoken English.*
8. *Assess and improve the performance of curriculum developers.*
9.*Oversee day-to-day curriculum development and production activities.*
*Job Requirements: *
1.*BA/BS degree is required.*
2.*Minimum 4 years experience managing a team.*
3. *Strong leadership and management skills.*
4. *Skillful at using computer software.*
5. *Creativity in using different methods and tools to teach spoken English.*
6. *Excellent oral and written English communication skills.*
7.*Excellent oral Chinese communication skills.*
8.*Proven expertise in teaching English, preferably spoken English,
to Chinese learners.*
9.*Organized, with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines, ability
to multi-task.*
10. *Fast learner, be able to adapt to a fast-changing work environment.*
11. *Experience with speech recognition technology a plus.*
