Responsibilities:
Provides internal technical support for internationalization (I18N) or localization (L10N) requests for assistance from testers and developers in global offices; develops and maintains I18N technical content and training materials targeted toward development technologies (like MVA SAS or Java); works on multiple projects and requests concurrently; may be involved with evaluations and implementations of testing and development tools to determine I18N suitability.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or quantitative field related to area of assignment;
· Experience in technical support, technical development, technical training, customer service, consulting, or related area of expertise;
· Excellent knowledge of several operating systems, such as Windows, UNIX, Linux and/or MVS preferred;
· Excellent knowledge of programming principles and user-interface issues;
· Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
· Excellent programming, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
· Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment;
· Ability to work independently and with a team.
· Ability to develop professional relationships with subject matter experts in R&D for second-line support assistance.
Preferences:
· Knowledge of software globalization issues.
· Business intelligence software experience.
· Experience with help desk support, teaching, training or consulting.
· Self-motivated to learn new internationalization technologies that will be pertinent to SAS testers and developers.
