Take the graduate program with the top university, no question about it! with the ultimate goal (after the degree obtained. No PhD please) of working on M & A with a top financial firm with international caliber. I happen to know a few things in this fileld and my own son is in this field. With several years working experience plus a newly minted MBA or equivelant degree from one of the top schools you can write your own ticket (non-traffic ones.  ) and you will have a golden key being able to open many doors. In your situation you can only either get a higher degree or some working experience with a Chinese company with 40W. The latter alone will not land you the position desired for sure; so take the former option. After you establish yourself outside of China, you can go back any time you choose hopefully with a "red carpet" and open-arm wlecome plus an expat. package.
Last word on girlfriend but not the least, here is my decision. Please think it over and take it or leave it, period. 
Well, I have not covered the cost side for further schooling, have I? If I could survive in the States with two dollars, as many other did, I am sure you can too in the UK.  (a little secret: get a Bible. )
