Corp. Communication Mgr. -003
Summary
based in Dalian, manages country/regional level Internal Communications and Public Affairs programs. Reports to Director, Corporate Communications, APJ, to assure the effectiveness and efficiency of communications within China. Works closely with senior executives and Human Resources, as well as his/her counterparts in China, APJ and around the world
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Communications
• Review the Chinese content/translation for APJ One and proactively drive topics/stories from China and APJ
• Lead the planning and implementation of APJ product screensaver through working with APJ IT team, consumer and commercial marketing teams and refresh the screensaver once every two weeks
• Partner with APJ CE team to develop and implement applicable regional CE communication plan
• Plan and organize employee product passion show twice a year in 4 sites in China and drive 80% of employee participation
• Support China team to plan and implement the China internal communication programs including regular employee townhall, messages from China leader and other information (as discussed with Sharon)
• Plan and co-organize the Dalian employee community activities through partnership with local HR team and employe club
• Support other employee communication/CSR activities in China
• Actively contributes to regional/global strategy discussions and program creation and execution.
Public Affairs
• Identifies and works with non-government or nonprofit organizations (NGOs and NPOs) to develop and carry out strategic programs that raise Our company’s reputation as a corporate citizen in Dalian
• Works closely with Our company Foundation/local HR team and employee club to lead the planning, coordination and implementation of new and existing foundation-funded programs (DLC, GCIM and RAA) in Dalian
• Supports work in communications of Our company’s leading environmental initiatives in Dalian
Qualifications
• Customer focused, can provide strategic consulting, demonstrate creativity and deliver results to support the business.
• Ability to adapt to the company Winning Culture quickly and achieve individual and organizational excellence.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication capabilities and good English writing skills.
• Ability and willingness to take on complex projects and/or issues in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment, with intellectual curiosity, personal drive and sense of optimism.
• A self-motivated and optimistic team player, resourceful, hands-on with attention to details.
• Curiosity, a can-do attitude and determination toward continuous improvement.
• Successful candidate will likely have at least five years experience in corporate/agency publication-relations positions, the news media and/or a combination of these or related areas. Internal Communications background preferred. Prior related experience in a multinational company is a plus.
• An undergraduate degree in marketing, journalism, communications or another applicable field of study.
