(1) jokeware/spyware or Trojan Horse. some joke wares (for example, mousemove.exe) do no harm to your computer but just try to prank you, e.g. move the mouse randomly. it's also possible to be trojan horse or spyware. make sure you run virus scanning software and keep your firewall tight.
If you like, you could download the hijackthis utility from https://home.planet.nl/~kleyn080/hijackthisexplanation.html, scan your pc and post the scan log here-- that log will show all possible bad guys on your pc and we can take a look and tell you what may be the cause.
(2) u may have 2 input devices controling the mouse cursor. for example, if u are using a laptop, you may accidently use the "little red button" embeded in the keyboard and the flat mouse pane together. or you have a tablet connected to your PC as well.
(3) hardware problem with the mouse itself or the cable, especially for optical mices. try a different mouse.
(4) did you accidently hit "shift-tab" while typing the password?
