Ever thought about bundle investments with immigration service and some kids' education service? if you target wealthy Chinese clients.
These days, there are more investment immigrations to
-- seek US high education for their kids
-- Transfer wealth out of China
-- seek cash-flow type investment
-- Some moms are staying here to take care of the high-school kids.
For them, stable cashflow apartment in a nice area (DC, Boston, etc.) near
school are pretty good investments while they stay in US. The holding period
may be 3-6 yrs or even longer. Stressed property may not be the best choice
if a lot of maintenance/turnaround efforts are needed.
Also, this type of investment is built on relationship. If you are young and you handle them well, you will get more business through the words of mouth.
It may also expand into other areas- wealth management.
Yes, the market is inefficient, Information is asymmetric.
There are potential buyers, and you could be the bridge.
You may start from asking local Chinese real-estate agent.
