people are differently in their own bio clock systems
|
作者:250 在 海归商务 发贴, 来自【海归网】 http://www.haiguinet.com
having said that, i believe we get some from our dna (at least i got from my father and he probably got from his father...)
then you look at the system you were brought up with that casted the main base of your own bio clock beyond the dna part
then, there is will, there is way
you cannot separate the three or deny any of that
my frand father was a career soldier in the army prior to the current regime
before he turned himself into a successful businessman in real estate, for a while...
so he was to live in a pretty routine and regular life
my father was sent to boarding schhol from age 5, another routine boring life before he turned out as a grown man!
i skipped most part of my schools from school days since i was born into cultural revolutions, and my arts and performing art hobbies took me away from academic studies
i was never a good student (except for the only couple of years i was at school on full year basis) in china. i skipped many classes even in undergraduate in shanghai, as i dedicated my studies in literature and creative writing
therefore it is odd that i never had to live a routine life as my grandpa and my father did, but hey, i get up early as always. go figure!

love what you do is kind of passive: learn how to adopt the environment you are conditioned and confined to
many picked the jobs based on the pay
after operated my own biz for 12 years, i picked my first jobs working for other with the criteria that i can learn to get into the biz i want to, so i went to GE
then, i changed the criteria as i needed to expand myself on the herizon of professional knowledge base, i changed again and landed where i am now
can i get a better paid job than this? maybe
would i go for that better paid job? not if i do not get other things
why?
better paid job only stick you to Z job. i know i will rise high above all these, so i will have to prepare myself better, the temporary benefit is just a point i will pass through
so you see, i love what i do because i picked it
is it what i love to do? heck no! i love to be a full time artist! but i cannot support the life style i am used to by being an artist without a day time job!
i consider my art pretty darn good, i do not sell them! in that sense, i am an artist but not a practical one, and the fact do not make a liv ing out of it have a lot to do wqith that

i used to fantasize about being hospitalized
|
作者:250 在 海归商务 发贴, 来自【海归网】 http://www.haiguinet.com
nanokid 写道: | 250brother, did you watch the moive " crash" |
perhaps too much literature described and facied about that experiences
i barely needed to go to hospital
and then i began to have sports injuries...doing what i should not be doing at my age
one day i did end up in hospital for about a month, staring to the ceilings and thought a lot about what otherwise would not have the time to think about
i remembered words from people/kids in the last stage of their lives, when their days at this world was numbered. they begged normal people to trasure their lives when they still have it
then when i came out of the hospital i told myself not to forget the feeling i had back there, and live everyday like it was my last day on earth!
when taking this perspective, you really do not care to fight others if it takes too much time and energy, you really want ot make more out of each meal you have instead of rushing in and out, you would appreciate more of every minutes with your family and friends....
but, we are human beings and we tend to forget....
either be really stupid and not to know anything, or try to get beyond smart
to covercome the conventional wisdom
whatever routines in your life you encounter and follow day in and day out, they could change in a snap. so outside the box, what do you think is meaningful to you aside from your routines?
for me, work is part of my life i like and enjoy, but it ain;t the life itself. life has got to be more than just this!

"I don't need... I don't need to hear you say
That if we weren't so alike
You'd like me a whole lot more"
--U2: Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
i think it is the best song about father and son relationship.

a house is a furnished dwelling or a domain to reside, but not necessarily you always have the home coming feeling to go back to there except for it is just another routine
home is something cozy and warm that you miss so much when you are away from it...
